Why not make Gingerbread Houses in March??

 

My daughter has been begging to make a gingerbread house since December...and we just never did! So, today, she caught my husband as he was walking out the door to go to the grocery store and she gave him a list of things to buy...and he actually did it! So, she, my son, and 2 friends had a great time outside making a huge mess, and loving every minute of it. I highly recommend it on a nice sunny day. It is much better to have them do this outside than in the middle of winter in the dining room! I really thought they might all get sick from all of the frosting they ate in the "design" process, but they didn't! Here are some pics of the day.

Looking for a good MP3 Player? I found one!

The only thing our 7 year old wanted for Christmas was an "ipod"...so of course...true to my better bargain skills...she got a Sansa Scandisk MP3 Player! I have to say that this is the greatest MP3 Player we have ever had! I take it to the gym when she is at school. :) It has an FM tuner and holds more songs than I will EVER download.

BUT the best thing about it is that she left it in her jeans pocket last night...and it went through the washing machine...AND STILL WORKS!! The headphones were torn to shreds...but the little thing dried out and plays like a champ! Crazy!
