Desperate for Spring!

I bought this great cactus plant at IKEA a few weeks ago and have been enjoying this little flower bud smiling at me every day.  It sits next to my computer and I have been anxiously awaiting it's full bloom.

Today was the big day!  Well, almost the big day.  You can actually see the yellow petals forming and they're about to open!  I am so excited!  You have to understand - there has been snow on my front porch since the middle of December and I am absolutely desperate for anything spring like.... even from a little cactus plant.  I love these little buds as they are my hope for Spring... may they warm your day as they have warmed mine.
